WHO WE ARE
MMPA Board Members
High Priestess Heka deAuset aka Krista Mann

Heka is a highly respected leader and teacher in the Michigan pagan community. She is an eclectic witch
with over 2 decades of study and experience.
Her journey began as a solitary practitioner in 1999. She met what would become one of her most cherished mentors 5 years later and became a dedicated member of Mystic Sisters Coven under Queen High Priestess Hexamama. After several years of study and mentoring she established her own coven from which a glorious daughter coven was born.
Heka is very active within the pagan community. She lives charitably, generously giving of herself to any person or situation that needs assistance or attention. She creates a safe space for fellowship and sharing knowledge. With Viki Vaughn as her partner, she founded the Mid-Michigan Pagan Alliance to further serve our community and help create a loving and supportive network for all of those in need.
Her personal practice is heavily rooted in Egyptian Paganism. A true daughter of Isis, she attempts to heal everything she touches with courage and fairness. She focuses on empowerment through self actualization and attunement to the divine presence in all beings and all of nature.
Rev. Kelly Bailey (Queen High Priestess Hexa Mama)
Rev. Kelly Bailey is known in her circles as Queen High Priestess Hexa Mama. She is a true treasure. A gem of the Michigan pagan community, Rev. Kelly Bailey is a highly respected leader, teacher, healer, seer, caster and webweaver. She has served diligently as High Priestess to Mystic Sisters Coven as well as a mentor to priests and priestesses from Midland County to Oakland County.
Her personal journey began in California in the early 1970’s. Her path has been long and winding since...experiencing and
learning much along the way. Rev. Kelly Bailey has studied many traditions and has a wealth of knowledge to share with any who desire. Kelly became an ordained minister in 1999.
Rev. Kelly Bailey does handfastings, weddings, funerals, rites of passage, house blessings, and tarot readings...but her truest gift to the world is how she cultivates future leaders with a deep love for our faith, our people, and an appreciation for the sacredness of earth.

Amy is very active in the mid-Michigan pagan community and has been teaching and entertaining all over the state for over a decade.
High Priestess Tamar Timbrooks
Tamar Timbrooks began her path in 1999. She was directly mentored by Victoria Vaughn for almost 25 years. She was blessed with many teachers along the way that added richness to her experience. She has been educated in herbs, divination, meditation, crystal healing, and Magick.
Tamar is one of the founding members of the Coven of the Phoenix Fire. She assisted Viki in the formation and structure of the coven, as well as keeping it organized and running smoothly. Viki built her empire with Tamar at her side. Tamar has also attended workshops and conferences all over Michigan learning not only from, but also alongside side her former High Priestess, with the biggest lesson being the need for an effective teacher to remain an eternal student.
Viki’s loss was a huge impact on the entire community, but few were hit harder than Tamar. The plans for her elevation were changed abruptly...but much like her mentor, Tamar did not whither or step down from the challenge. She stood with courage, and commitment. Tamar serves not only on this board, but also as the newly elevated High Priestess to the Coven of the Phoenix Fire. She has pledged to honor her mentor and coven, and we have pledged to support her in it.

Melissa Sammons
Melissa Sammons has been a Michigan native for 36 years, and a practicing eclectic witch since 2015. She has drawn strength and love from a variety of mentors of different belief systems and cultural practices. She returns the positive energy by volunteering her services and lending her skills to anything needed in the community. She always has a listening ear or honest word of encouragement for her pagan brethren, never hesitating to extend a helping hand.
Melissa enjoys doing a variety of crafts, but refuses to call herself an artist. Her greatest joy is time spent with her two grandchildren. She also enjoys carrying for her beloved pets, who she also considers as her children.
Among the many duties Melissa performs for MMPA, she handles organizing, documenting organizational meetings, and assists with managing the multitude of events that MMPA hosts. She has also contributed to the planning of many Mystic Sisters Coven events and community fundraisers. Melissa helps keep things flowing smoothly making it possible for us to come together and collectively
work our magick.
